Stoner/Sludge/Southern Metal monoliths Corrosion of Conformity have finally made their cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's back catalog gem On The Hunt available on streaming services. Also be sure to check out their official visualizer below.
In one of those "this would be the perfect band to cover this" moments, the C.O.C. rendition, complete with Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman's thick riffs and Keenan's Southern-fried drawl, this song is a must-listen.
Originally recorded in 2004, and made available for savvy download sleuths in 2015, On The Hunt has finally attained a proper release.
Corrosion of Conformity bass man Mike Dean shared, "This is our hard to find tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd, a major influence of C.O.C. With the recent passing of the great Gary Rossington, the last living original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, we thought it would be a good time to make this celebration of Skynyrd more widely available."
C.O.C. just embarked on a 3-week European/UK tour before returning to the studio to continue recording the follow-up to 2018's tremendous riff-pack No Cross No Crown.
